Outdoor Plein Air Painting Workshop

Explore the tradition of plein air painting in this outdoor landscape workshop held at Lasdon Public Gardens & Veterans Memorial in Katonah, New York. Designed for artists of all levels, this immersive painting class focuses on working directly from nature while observing changing light, color relationships, atmosphere, and seasonal landscape forms. Participants will receive guidance on composition, color mixing, brushwork, and capturing depth and movement in the landscape using oil, acrylic, or watercolor painting techniques.

Set throughout the scenic gardens and grounds of Lasdon Public Gardens & Veterans Memorial, this one-day workshop encourages artists to develop stronger observational skills and a more expressive approach to outdoor painting. A limited number of art supply rental kits are available for an additional fee, and outdoor easels will be provided for use during the workshop.
